Job Description

An 80-year group, COBRA promotes its own efficient business model, the result of the combination of decentralization, geographical diversification and technical specialization of more than 20,000 professionals in more than 43 countries. In this way, it offers a wide range of services throughout the value chain of projects, adapted to each sector and to the scope of the contract required by our clients, both public and private.

Cobra is divided into four main sectors of activity, Networks, Specialised installations, integrated projects and concession assets.

ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.

The new transmission network infrastructure will deliver at least 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity from 2028 to connect 7.7 gigawatts of wind and solar projects, which is enough to power more than 2 million homes each year.

The Training Coordinator supports the facilitation and delivery of internal and external training for the Project. Working closely with the Training Advisor, the Training Coordinator will support coordination of training initiatives and delivery of programs to Project personnel. The role supports accurate record keeping and data entry to support compliance with Project reporting requirements.  This position will benefit greatly if you are located in the Mudgee project region or are willing to relocate.

About the Role

  • Support delivery of Project Induction programs and onboarding programs 

  • Support scheduling, booking, and coordination of training for project personnel

  • Collate training evaluation feedback provided by personnel for both internal and external training

  • Accurate record keeping of attendance sheets and entry of training records to the Projects Competency Management System (3D Safety)

  • Build and develop relationships with key project stakeholders

  • Assist the roll out of apprenticeship and traineeship programs

  • Support the presentation of accurate information to meet both internal and external reporting criteria per project reporting schedule as required 

  • Assist with scheduled training and compliance audits as required

  • Build and develop relationships with external training providers  

  • Support the implementation of the Training and Skills Management Plan (TSMP)  

  • Work in consultation with relevant Superintendents, Supervisors and site teams to ensure that any training related activities carried out on site is carefully planned and can be conducted in a controlled and safe environment

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment TAE40122 or equivalent

  • Working knowledge of the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF), training needs analysis and RTO compliance 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in vocational training or HR within the construction, infrastructure, energy or health sectors. 

  • Knowledge of vocational education, competency-based training and systems

  • Project management skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks, manage timelines, and coordinate with cross-functional teams

  • Cultural competency and sensitivity to the social and cultural dynamics of the workforce

  • Highly developed computer literacy skills, including the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and email
