Job Description

About the project and opportunity:
Acciona is delivering the Link Road Project, a significant upgrade to access the Port Adelaide precinct for ANI. It is a 400m long bridge over rail with significant utilities as part of the scope of works.

As part of the engineering team you will be supported by the Construction Manager. You will assist with the planning, execution and closing of the project by providing technical, administrative, HSEQS support to the project team. A key requirement is to accurately report on how your project is running (cost, time, scope & quality) at all times requiring you to know and understand your daily costs and scope of works.

Key accountabilities for the position:

  • Preparing safety and construction documentation
  • Preparing, tracking and forecasting against a construction budget
  • Liaising with the client, asset owners and public authorities
  • Investigating services/utilities and issuing internal permits
  • Lead and prepare the development of appropriate construction methods and staging plans and programs complete with a related construction master program
  • In conjunction with the Construction Manager drive the delivery of the project such that it meets or exceeds the project milestone dates
  • Maintain a rolling 3 month and 6 week look ahead & resource plan with the Supervisors
  • Ensure management systems and project plans are up to date and implemented correctly
  • Develop a fit for purpose Construction Management Plan (CMP) and Project Management Plan (PMP);
  • Develop Fit for purpose Construction Safety Procedures in line with relevant legislation
  • Coordinate procurement and selection of subcontractors
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance

Required Skills and Competencies

    Experience and Capabilities we are looking for:

    • Tertiary qualification in civil engineering or similar
    • You will have site-based experience working on a range of utilities packages ideally supporting a major road or rail project
    • Well-developed leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills coupled with excellent attention to detail.
    • Construction Induction Card (White card)
